 Beginning of it all! 5.75 HP Briggs and Stratton engine (2 3/4" bore, 2 3/8" stroke) . One lever FWD/NEUTRAL/REV. Continuously variable speed from 2.1 MPH to 4.6 MPH with speed changer. True differential. Independent rear wheel brakes. Dimensions - 37 1/4 " high, 34 " wide, 63 1/3 " long overall. Wheel base 43 3/8 ". Front wheels 16" dia, 4.00X8, Rear wheels 24" dia, 6.00X12. Colors 'Nugget Gold' and 'Electric Blue'

Basically the same as 917.60601 except modified grille, and *no brakes*. Brakes were sold as option. Also lacked remote control for start/stop/choke. Upgraded to 6 HP in 1963

7.25 HP Briggs and Stratton engine (3" bore, 2 5/8" stroke) with mechanical governer . One lever FWD/NEUTRAL/REV. Continuously variable speed from 2.1 MPH to 4.6 MPH with speed changer. True differential. Independent rear wheel brakes. Dimensions - 37 1/4 " high, 34 " wide, 63 1/2 " long overall. Wheel base 43 3/8 ". Front wheels 16" dia, 4.00X8, Rear wheels 24" dia, 6.00X12. Colors 'Seaton Blue' (dark) and 'Artic White' wheels

 This story goes on to this day, however the scope of this web site is David Bradley equipment. In 1964 the David Bradley name was dropped from Sears lawn and garden equipment. Therefore this Suburban tractor list ends with 1963. gwt -2000
