Introduced in 1932, the Thrifty Farmer allowed a Ford or Chevy Automobile to be converted into a tractor. The Thrifty Farmer was made by the Peru Plow Company. Similar units were sold by Montgomery Ward and others. David Bradley made a variety of implements especially designed for the Thrifty Farmer.
